Associates for Change
Associates for Change(AfC) is a research and consulting firm specializing in social policy analysis and international development. AfC works with a range of clients from around the African and Asian region on issues of education, poverty reduction, public reforms, gender and HIV/AIDS.
Areas of expertise:
- Providing research, consulting and advisory services to government and donor agencies using a multi-disciplinary approach;
- Undertaking operational research for programme design;
- Providing policy analysis, social/gender and pro poor policy development;
- Conducting evaluations, strategic planning and participatory training workshops;
- Conducting social assessments/beneficiary assessment and baseline surveys;
- Conducting social and economic analysis for sector wide programming;
- Providing services for organizational and human resource development.
2025 Association for the Development of Education in Africa. (ADEA)
Associates for Change (AfC) participated in the 2025 ADEA Triennale on Education and Training, held in Accra, Ghana, from 29–31 October 2025. The conference brought together education policymakers, researchers, practitioners, development partners and other stakeholders from across Africa to exchange knowledge, share experiences and discuss approaches to strengthening education systems and improving learning outcomes.
AfC’s participation provided an opportunity to engage with key education stakeholders, exchange knowledge and experiences, strengthen partnerships, and contribute to discussions on the future of education in Africa.
2nd High-Level Conference on Scaling Education Initiatives in Emergencies (EiE) – West Africa (ACCELERATE+)
The conference brought together education stakeholders, researchers, policymakers, development partners and practitioners to share research evidence, experiences and innovative approaches to scaling education initiatives in emergencies across West Africa.
The conference provided an important platform for knowledge exchange, networking and collaboration around strengthening education systems and expanding effective education interventions for children and young people affected by emergencies.

On 11th and 12th June 2024, Associates for Change (AfC), Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA) and Dalan Development Consultants in collaboration with Complementary Education Agency organized a two-day High level Conference on Tackling the Out of School Challenge in West Africa.
